Yesterday CapnRex101 and I went to BrickLive in Birmingham and if you were tuning in to us on Twitter you will have seen me post a few photos during the afternoon.

Here are a few of the highlights:

The Fan Zone is much larger than at the show last year and is full of excellent MOCs, of course, contributed by around 60 AFOLs from across Europe. However the display that caught my eye was Lewis Aylmer's collection of 1950s and 1960s LEGO, all in virtually mint condition. He's accumulated it over the years from auctions and sales all over Europe and it's certainly the most impressive display of such things I've ever seen. He is a font of knowledge about the era and a pleasure to chat to.

Toys R Us has a LEGO store at the show. There are a few bargains to be had including Tower Bridge for about £165. The Bricktober minifig packs are available for £9.99 and 40228 Geoffrey & Friends is free with purchases over £45. Various polybags are being given away with purchases, too.
